According to Felix Johnston of Chelsea Loan Army, Chelsea has reached an agreement with Benfica to sign Argentina World Cup star for €130 million.

Chelsea will pay Benfica €120 million in three installments, with another €10 million in performance-related add-ons, according to the report.

Chelsea winning the Premier League and the Champions League is a performance-based add-on.

Fernandez has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea and will be in London in the coming days to undergo his Chelsea medical.

Fernandez, 21, only joined Benfica last summer from Argentine club River Plate for a fee of around €10 million, but he wants to join Chelsea in January.

Meanwhile, according to The Athletic, super-agent Jorge Mendes has offered Chelsea star Joao Felix to Atletico Madrid.

Atletico is said to be looking for a €21 million (£18.6 million; $22.5 million) package that includes a €15 million loan fee and a €6 million gross salary.

Graham Potter is in big trouble, Frank Lebouef, who claimed Chelsea manager will be fired soon

According to the report, Chelsea are interested in signing Felix on loan in January, but they are willing to pay less than half of the €15 million loan fee demanded by Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea are willing to pay his €6 million salary until the end of the season in exchange for a loan fee of less than €7.5 million rather than the €15 million demanded by Atletico Madrid.
