Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, a Chelsea legend, has blamed Marc Cucurella for the club’s Premier League loss to Manchester City last night.
Cucurella was the Blues’ weakest link on the night, according to Hasselbaink, who added that the former Brighton player is a problem for his manager.
Riyad Mahrez and Jack Grealish came off the bench for City to score the game’s only goal, as the former tapped in from a fine assist from the latter to secure an important victory for Pep Guardiola’s side.
English football pundits have heavily criticized the Spanish left-back for his involvement in the goal.
Cucurella struggled against City, according to Hasselbaink, and is a major issue for Graham Potter.
“He Cucurella didn’t have a particularly good game; he was the weakest link,” Hasselbaink explained to Sky Sports.
“The weakest link was Cucurella and Man City acknowledged that. It’s an issue.”
