The 20-year-old arrived at the club from Molde in Norway, but his immediate future is unknown.
Potter must decide whether Fofana will play first-team games, play with the Under-21s, or go on loan.

NEWS FLASH: Datro David Fofana has finally joined Chelsea
“We still need to wait for clearances and all those formalities,” Potter said in his pre-match press conference ahead of Manchester City’s Premier League match.
“He’s been on a bit of a break, so we’ll give him some time to train, assess him, and then figure out the best solution for taking the next step.”
