Chelsea Injury Report, Graham Potter
As Chelsea prepares to return to the Premier League against Bournemouth, head coach Graham Potter addressed the injury concerns of some of the club’s key players in a press conference.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho confirmed that N’Golo Kante and Armando Borja would be long-term absentees for the Blues, with Kante possibly not returning this season. He also revealed that Wesley Fofana suffered a minor injury during his final stages of rehabilitation and would be out for a short time.
Potter made no mention of Mason’s injury concerns.
Potter did not address Mason Mount’s injury, as many had speculated, but he did confirm that Reece James is back in the squad.
Potter disclosed:
‘Wesley had a minor setback, which can occur at the very end of rehab, so he will be [out for] a couple of weeks,’ says the doctor.
Chelsea will be looking to rebound from a poor run of form in the Premier League, having failed to win their last two matches before the start of the World Cup in 2022.
