Chelsea is interested in signing Argentina’s World Cup star, 24 years old… Chelsea sent scouts to Qatar, according to journalist Ekrem Konur, to look at Argentine fullback Nahuel Molina, who has impressed many people throughout the tournament.

Molina is currently playing for the Spanish club Atletico Madrid after scoring against the Netherlands in the World Cup quarterfinals.

The 24-year-old is a versatile fullback who can play as a right and left back as well as a wingback. He performed admirably in the latter role in South America’s victory over the Dutch.

If Chelsea is interested in signing him in January, there may be a problem because Molina joined Atletico Madrid from Udinese in the previous summer. His current contract with the Wanda Metropolitano runs until the end of the year.

The Blues are looking to add a right-back/wing-back to their squad due to the number of injuries Reece James has sustained in the last year. As a result, they are also interested in signing Dutch winger Denzel Dumfries.

Molina, on the other hand, is a fantastic player who has emerged in the last year or so. He appeared in 18 games for Atleti in all competitions during the first half of this season, assisting on two goals.

Chelsea appear to be on the verge of completing a massive transfer in the near future

In terms of skills, the Argentine has excellent speed to make runs up and down the right side of the field. He has good passing and crossing skills, as well as great dribbling ability to take on defenders in wide areas.
