If club confirmation is the final stage of every transfer, Fabrizio Romano’s confirmation is the first.
The Italian insider covers a lot of rumours, but when he says “here we go,” you know a deal is on the way, and that’s exactly what he’s done with David Datro Fofana’s move to Chelsea.
The Molde striker has been tearing up the Norwegian league, and given how cheap he is and how desperately Chelsea needs a striker, it’s no surprise that the Blues swooped decisively.
Datro, David Fofana to Chelsea, deal done, and we’re off! All parties have reached complete agreement, and the transaction has been completed.
Medical tests will be performed in London today, on his birthday.
Ivorian striker born in 2002 will join Chelsea from Molde for a fee of €12 million.
They will pay €12 million for the Ivorian, and Romano claims that the deal is “sealed,” with medical tests beginning today.
Time is of the essence, and Fofana should be able to arrive in London as soon as possible to begin working with his new teammates. If everything goes as planned, he could start playing an important role as soon as next week.
