Chris Sutton picks Chelsea to beat Bournemouth, which is why

Chris Sutton, a BBC pundit and former Blackburn Rovers striker, predicts a 2-0 win for Chelsea against AFC Bournemouth this weekend.
On Tuesday, December 27, the two teams will meet in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge. With 21 points from 14 games, the Blues are eighth in the table, while the Cherries are 14th with 16 points from 15 games. However, the home team has only won two of the last eight matches in all competitions, while the away team has won two of the last three.
Sutton believes Graham Potter’s team will be motivated to win, as he stated in his BBC column:
“After going six home games without a win and losing the last four, Chelsea are desperate for a win, so the real pressure is on Blues boss Graham Potter here.”
Under Potter, the Blues have only scored 19 goals in 14 games, which critics say is concerning:
“I believe Potter simply needs time to get that going at Stamford Bridge, but they’ve struggled to score since he took over, and they’ll have to capitalize on opportunities as well as create them against Bournemouth.
Sutton also expressed interest in seeing how Bournemouth performs under Gary O’Neill, who has been named permanent manager after a successful stint as caretaker manager. I said:
“I hope Chelsea win this game, but it will also be interesting to see what happens to the Cherries next. Gary O’Neil’s success as caretaker boss shows that he deserves a full-time position, but he must match those results in order to keep his job.
