EPL: Premier League officials announce the winner of players of the Month Award for August

Manchester City striker, Erling Braut Haaland has been named the Premier League player of the month for August, it was confirmed few minutes ago.
The highly-rated striker who was acquired from German club, Borussia Dortmund for a reported £51 million which could rise significantly in the coming years due to some clauses in his contract, emerged as the winner of the prize after a good start to life in the English top flight
The Norway international has been on a goal scoring streak in his last six games for the Manchester based outfit & recently helped his new club beat his old club, Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, with a beautiful acrobatic finish inside the box.
So far for the Citizens, the 22-year-old has netted an impressive 13 goals in all competitions, with 10 of those coming in the league.
The promising talent topped an 8 man list which included Pascal Gross, Gabriel Jesus, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Nick Pope, Martin Odegaard, Wilfried Zaha, Rodrigo.
“I am happy to have to won this award for the first time – it was a brilliant start to the campaign for the team and I am grateful to everyone who voted.” Haaland said after winning the award.
