According to Turkish media outlet Fanatik, Galatasaray and Chelsea have agreed to loan 20-year-old striker David Datro Fofana.
According to the report, Chelsea were initially opposed to loaning Fofana to the Super Lig, but with the transfer windows of the other major leagues closing, the Blues do not have many options if Fofana is to gain experience on loan.
The Turkish league’s transfer window remains open until Wednesday, February 8th.
Galatasaray reportedly agreed to a one-and-a-half-year loan deal with Chelsea for Fofana, but the striker is hesitant to leave the club on such a long loan.
Chelsea boss Potter mulls over Fofana’s plans
Chelsea and Galatasaray will hold another round of talks to discuss the possibility of shortening the loan term to six months.
Fofana played 15 minutes against Fulham after sitting out the previous three league games.
Galatasaray have won their last 11 games in a row and are six points ahead of second-placed Fenerbahce.
