Chelsea vs Leicester: Good news this morning as the Blues manager, Thomas Tuchel confirmed Chelsea midfielder boost ahead of Leicester City clashed in today’s match.
Leicester City travel to Stamford Bridge this afternoon (Saturday) looking to register their first victory of the 2022/23 Premier League season. Brendan Rodgers’ side have struggled in their opening three games of the season and sit 19th in the table following consecutive defeats to Arsenal and Southampton.
This weekend, they travel to Stamford Bridge in the midst of Wesley Fofana’s impending move to Chelsea’s side. The 21-year-old defender is now said to be close to joining Tuchel’s side after the two clubs agreed a world record fee for a defender on Friday evening.
Fofana won’t be involved in this afternoon’s game, but Tuchel has confirmed that, while former Leicester star N’Golo Kante remains sidelined by injury, fellow midfielder Mateo Kovacic will be available for selection after suffering from a knee problem. He said:
“Mateo is back in the group. N’Golo is the only one who did not train through this week, so everybody is back in training.
“Kova is back in the group and ready to play some 20 minutes.
“We miss him also as a personality and his experience and his quality of course, but it’s maybe 20 minutes at the moment.
“It was his first training week without reaction in the knee, so we cannot rush things, otherwise we will must sabotage our own plans with him. We need him long-term but it is good to have him back and have him as an option from the bench.”

No doubt, Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly will not play in today’s match due to red card received during Leeds United match, which lead to his suspension following the red card received in the last weekend’s game at Leeds United.
