The latest controversial that occur in the match between Chelsea vs Tottenham in last Sunday game. The Football Association, FA, has officially confirmed Stuart Atwell, as Referee to officiate the next match between Chelsea and Leeds United on Sunday, August 21, at 14:00 hrs BST (2:00 p.m. local time).
Although, the controversial failed act from Anthony Taylor last weekend, still ring bells in the minds of Chelsea’s supporters, which the Football Association seeks for alternative, to soften fans mind, with a good referee to officiate the next match, Stuart Atwell.
The Blues will be regulated by their third different referee of the season and it’s by a man who doesn’t shy away from punishing the players around him.
Statistics shows that, Atwell never give room for failure as he has given 24 yellow and red cards in his past five premier League matches, including five in his last Chelsea fixture; from when they faced Leicester City at Stamford Bridge in May, with four of the bookings going to the hosts.
Others to joined him include Paul Tierney on VAR decision stand, who was ranked higher than the former by 90 minutes of play in terms of overall refereeing ability giving him a 7/10, with a particular skill set of handling big-game matches with a strong level of consistency.
