Today remains a key day in Chelsea finalising a major deal after weeks of negotiations. The blue’s reopened talks to sign Sevilla prolific star days after completing Kalidou Koulibaly move to Stamford bridge. Barcelona were the frontrunners in the deal to sign the French star but Chelsea have surpassed them after presenting £55 million equally to what Sevilla wanted for Jules Kounde.

According to Fabrizio Romano Barcelona never presented any bid to sign the star player. Chelsea representatives are now awaiting greenlight to finalize the deal.
