Mistakes Chelsea new owner, Todd Boehly did on summer transfer deal so far

Chelsea were the most affected team from the current war going one between Ukraine and Russia. Their club owner Roman Abramovich was forced by the UK government to sell the club due to his origin. Abramovich is a Russian tycoon who has a lot of businesses across the world.

Since he took over as the Chelsea new owner in 2008, the Russian was able to invest a lot of money into the team which made it a competitive team in Europe.

He has since sold the club to Todd Boehly who is from the United States of America. Boehly have good intention for the club. His first assignment as the Chelsea new owner is knowing various players agents across the World and he has already met with a number of them such as Jorge Mendes the agent if Cristiano Ronaldo.

Chelsea have been in the market to search for players who will fit in the Tuchel setup. They have already brought in players like Rahim sterling and Kalidou Kuolibaly . They are also in the market to sign other players before the transfer window is closed.

Despite being able to sign those players Chelsea new owner Todd Boehly has made some mistakes which has costed them some signing in the transfer market. Some of the players Chelsea have missed in the market are Rafinha, De ligt and most recently Joules Kounde.

Chelsea had all the transfer fee required to sign all this players but the Chelsea new owner failed to convince the players to join them. Teams like Bayern Munich and Barcelona have used the trick to sign players beating their competitors in the transfer battle.
