Football expert, Andy Jacobs have joined others to advise the new Chelsea manager, Graham Potter not to start this two Chelsea defenders together in any of their games, so as to create positive outcome at the end of the match.
According to Jacobs,
In his advice wants Potter not to put Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta together on the pitch at the same time in any matches. This is coming after Chelsea’s Champions League 1-1 draw against Red Bull Salzburg in the UEFA Champions League.
Potter decided to field two of his senior defenders, Silva and Azpilicueta, against RB Salzburg over more young options like Kalidou Koulibaly and Wesley Fofana.
However, Silva and Azpilicueta failed to deliver on the expected lines as their mistakes cost the team dearly.
The Brazilian failed with his attempted challenge in the build-up to Salzburg’s goal while the scorer inside the box outsmarted Azpilicueta.
Football pundits and fans, including Jacobs, questioned Potter’s strategy with the inclusion of Silva and Azpilicueta for the Champions League match.
During a sport interview with TalkSPORT, Jacobs advised Potter not to start Thiago Silva and Caesar Azpilicueta in Chelsea’s next match to avoid losing the game.
