Chelsea manager Graham Potter has made it clear to his critics that he will not waste time thinking about the negativity and criticism he receives from Chelsea fans.
Despite their recent thrashing at the hands of Manchester City, the Englishman is confident he can win them over later.
He stated that the next game is more important to him right now, and he understands the fans’ frustration with the club’s recent poor results.
City thrashed Chelsea 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, with goals from Riyad Mahrez, Julian Alvarez, and Phil Foden.
And the away fans chanted Tuchel’s name, who was surprisingly fired by the Blues’ new owners.
The chants were impossible for the manager and his team to ignore and the former Brighton boss addressed the matter in his post-match press conference, saying:
“We can’t do anything but do our jobs better and work harder.
‘We understand the frustration of the supporters. Other people’s opinions, criticism, and negativity will always exist, but that is part of the challenge.
“It’s always challenging in the Premier League and it’s always challenging here.
“It’s obvious. We must concentrate on the next day and the next match.”
