The Premier league, PL, matchday 4 took centre stage today across England as fans were treated to 7 enticing matches. Manchester United cruised to a hard fought 1-0 victory against Southampton at St Mary’s stadium in the early kickoff fixture.

Defending champions Manchester City bounced back to winning ways in an emphatic fashion as they came from behind to earn a well deserved 4-2 triump against a relentless Crystal Palace outfit at Etihad today. An awful owngoal from John stones & a strike from Andersen put the Eagles 2-0 up at halftime. However the Citizens rallied back in the 2nd half & a goal from Benardo Silva & a remarkable hatrick from Erling Haaland ensured they recorded a vital win in their PL defense campaign.

Chelsea made amends for their calamitous 3-0 loss to Leeds last time out, as they saw off a ferocious Leicester side 2-1 at Stamford bridge today. Despite playing most of the match with 10 men after Conor Gallagher was sent off in the 30th minute, the blues took the lead in the 54th minute courtesy of Raheem Sterling’s sensational goal before the English forward added a 2nd goal 10 minutes later. Harvey Barnes pulled one back for the Foxes in the 75th minute, but proved only to be a consolation goal.

After Scoring machine Erling Haaland scored a hatrick today, he ascended a top the PL golden boot standings with 6 goals, 2 goals above 2nd placed Rodrigo & 10th placed Raheem Sterling who was also on the score sheet today.
