Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus earlier today did the Samba dance as he scored the second goal against Brentford in their premier league match today. Jesus is famous for his phone call celebration but today he opted for a small dance. Many football fans wonder why?
This is actually a show of solidarity with fellow Brazilian winger Vinicius jr who is more synonymous with the celebration. The Real Madrid start was racially abused by an agent because of the dance and it sparked a lot of debate online. A number of footballers have come out to defend him and stand with him. Among players who have spoken on the same include Neymar jr, Pele, Richarlison among others.
The Brazilian Gabriel Jesus has been on good form since his move to Arsenal from Manchester City. He has so far scored four goals and assisted three. He has been fantastic for the gunners who verily lacked a number nine.
