REPORT: Chelsea uses Malang Sarr as a makeweight in the Benoit Badiashile deal

According to the French daily Media Foot, Chelsea is prepared to send Malang Sarr in the opposite direction in order to complete the transfer of Benoit Badiashile from Monaco to their club.
The team captained by Graham Potter is hoping to add to their defensive options by recruiting a new left-sided center-back.
The most important player for Chelsea to sign at the moment is Badiashile, and the Blues are currently getting ready to make an offer for Sarr in the hopes that Monaco will decrease their asking price of approximately €60 million. Possible trades involving Piero Hincapie of Bayer Leverkusen and Evan Ndicka of Eintracht Frankfurt have also been discussed. Both players currently play for their respective clubs in Frankfurt.
Sarr, who is presently on loan with the Ligue 1 squad, has the possibility to sign a permanent agreement with the club worth €15 million at the conclusion of the current season if certain requirements are met.

The 23-year-old has played for Les Monegasques in all seven of their league matches this season, and he has started four of those matches, including the thrilling 3-2 victory against Auxerre that took place on Wednesday.
Even if Badiashile’s management argues that the decision not to include him in the starting lineup of the aforementioned game was not always motivated by concerns about his future, Badiashile was nevertheless designated as a reserve in the game.
