Chelsea football club suffered yet another defeat to Manchester City in their English Premier league clash at Stamford Bridge last night. The defeat now leaves the Blues languishing in the 10th spot and the Chelsea football club’s supporters are already calling for the sack if their manager, Graham Potter. Should Boehly go on and sack him?
The truth remains that sacking Graham Potter will not solve the major issue that has led to the club’s poor form in recent times. In as much as it is easy to compare Graham Potter to his predecessor, Thomas Tuchel, it is important to highlight that Graham Potter took over at Chelsea when they were ravaged by injuries. And these injury crises have become worst over the last few weeks.
Last night, two key players, Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic picked up injuries in the first 23 minutes of the game. This means that Chelsea now have 9 injured players, namely: Armando Broja, Wesley Fofana, Edouard Mendy, Reece James, N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount, Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic.
So, rather than blame Graham Potter, the medical department of the club should be overhauled for a more competent professionals.
