Liverpool’s inconsistency continued after they were defeated 3-0 away from home by Wolves in week 21 of the English Premier League at the Molineux.
Liverpool Joel Matip, a Cameroonian defender, scored an own goal in the fifth minute before Craig Dawnson pounced on a loose ball in the 12th minute to put Wolves up 2-0.
When the game resumed in the second half, Liverpool tried everything they could to score, but their efforts were futile as the home side capitalized on another counter to put Wolves 3-0 up and out of reach.
As a result, Liverpool is now ranked 10th in the English Premier League.
Following Everton’s surprise win over leaders Arsenal earlier on Saturday, they responded with a hugely impressive performance that will give their fans real hope that they can climb out of the bottom three.
