Amélie Oudéa-Castera, France’s Minister of Sports, was quoted in the publication as saying that it was the President’s wish for them to be there.
“I’m sure he’d like to. I am aware that this is being thought about. We’ll see if all of this can be done logistically and materially. In any case, the President wishes to bring them on board so that they can fully participate in this adventure,” Oudéa-Castera stated.
Will Benzema start?
While Benzema may attend the final as a spectator, it is unknown if he will play. The French attacker has returned to Real Madrid training after remaining registered with the French squad for the tournament.
The Daily Mail reports that coach Didier Deschamps has refused to say whether Benzema will be in the squad for the final.
