Hakim Ziyech's preferred club, Chelsea, has been revealed

According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea target Edson Alvarez expects the Blues to re-sign him in January.

Chelsea did not sign the Ajax and Mexico midfielder on deadline day during the summer transfer window, but that does not appear to be the end of the story.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are still interested in Alvarez, according to football.london, despite missing out on him in September.

According to Sky Sports, the west London club made a late £43 million bid as then-manager Thomas Tuchel sought to strengthen his midfield.

“I’m told there’s still tentative interest from Chelsea’s side in Alvarez,” he told a reporter. They obviously tried to sign him on the deadline day in the summer. He was eager to leave. At one point, it appeared that Ajax would accept our offer, but they did not.

“They didn’t want to let him go so close to the deadline, and they couldn’t find someone to replace him, so they told him he had to stay.” He was disappointed, and he expects Chelsea to come back in for him again in January.”
